ARNOLDSCHE ART PUBLISHERS PROGRAM AUTUMN/WINTER 2020

Art has always been the stage and means of a lively internationalism, as illustrated here in our new autumn releases: In Tikimania, the “Young Wild One” Bernd Zimmer embarks on a search for traces in the South Seas to discover new colors and motifs. The Norwegian artist Thorvald Hellesen finds international recognition in the 1920s Parisian avant-garde circles of Picasso, Léger, and Brâncuși. While in exile in New York, Piet Mondrian encounters the American Charmion von Wiegand and sets off with her on an intense artistic collaboration. All are pioneering examples of real-life internationalism and a prolific pluralism in art.

Under these unusual circumstances, with exhibitions, galleries and our favourite book shops closed – and whilst we are all recommended to maintain social distancing – we think our beautiful art publications could be the perfect way to get through this uncertain period.
