Christofori, Ralf

Ralf Christofori graduated in art history and philosophy followed by a PHD in art history in 2003. In 2005 he published his dissertation ‘Bild – Modell – Wirklichkeit’ on representation models in contemporary photography. From 1998 to 2000 he worked as curator at the Württembergischer Kunstverein Stuttgart, curating shows like ‘Colour me blind! Painting in Times of Computergames and Comics’ (1999) and ‘Night on Earth’ (2001).

He has been working as journalist and art critic for Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Der Tagesspiegel (Berlin), as well as Frieze, Kunst-Bulletin, Kunstforum International and Monopol. Over the years he has published several essays on contemporary art and culture.

Ralf Christofori lives and works in Stuttgart.
