Eva-Maria Fahrner-Tutsek studied sociology, political science, and psychology at the University of Tübingen. After graduating with a diploma in psychology, she worked at the Max Planck Institute of Psychiatry, Munich, finishing her PhD in 1984. As research assistant and team leader, she was in charge of research projects at Technische Universität München, and IFT Institut für Therapieforschung. Freelance, she led research projects in the area of business psychology as well as institutional counseling, psychotherapy, and supervision. She has authored numerous scholarly publications and textbooks. Since its foundation in 2000, she has chaired the Alexander Tutsek-Stiftung and regularly curated exhibitions there.
