Espen Johnsen is Associate Professor of the history of architecture and design at the department of Art History at the University of Oslo. He has worked as editor and written articles for numerous publications, including (as guest editor) “Kunstens rolle i modernismens arkitektur: Hus for kunstnere og kunstsamlere” (Kunst og Kultur no. 4, 2014); (as editor) Brytninger: Norsk arkitektur 1945–65 (National Museum of Art, Architecture and Design, 2010); together with Morten Bing (editors) Nye hjem. Bomiljøer i mellomkrigstiden (Norsk Folkemuseum, 1998).
