Thanks to the unique shoe collection of the Deutsche Ledermuseum [German Leather Museum], the exhibition STEP BY STEP: Schuh.Design im Wandel unfolds the knowledge about shoes from all over the world and from different eras. Where do the flip-flops come from? Why have heels developed? And has there always been a right and a left shoe? By using pairs of shoes, each consisting of a historical and a contemporary model, the cultural history of shoe fashion is impressively conveyed!
