This publication conveys marvellous insights into the work done in jewellery by distinguished 20th-century artists. Often spontaneous creations arising from particular situations, these pieces are formed by the personality of each great artist. Hence they represent the artists’ visions, passions and intentions distilled into compact form and amplify them in a way that is highly enlightening. The miniature works of sculpture presented in colour on pages in large formats give wings to the imagination, inspiring six writers to jot down their thoughts in delightful accompanying texts that spirit the reader away to other realms.
