Voigt, Uwe

was born 1965 in Lichtenfels, Germany.

Between 1985 and 1992, with the support of the Bayerische Begabtenförderung and the Studienstiftung des Deutschen Volkes, he studied philosophy, psychology and Catholic theology at the universities of Bamberg, Germany and Innsbruck, Austria.

From 1993 to 2007 he worked as assistant professor at the Chair of Philosophy I.

In 1996, he finished his prize-winning dissertation in Bamberg on the concept of history in John Amos Comenius.

His also prize-winning habilitation in philosophy on Aristotle and the concepts of information was accepted by the University of Bamberg in 2007.

He was acting professor of philosophy at the University of Bamberg from 2007 to 2008 and at the University of Augsburg from 2008 to 2010. </
